Three Programs, One Clear Path into AI Development
Each Codelumen course is a complete, self-contained learning experience. Whether you're picking up Python for the first time or building ML models, there's a program designed for where you are right now.
← Back to HomeHow Our Courses Are Built
Each Codelumen program follows a layered design. Foundational concepts come first — not as a formality, but because understanding the "why" behind a technique makes the "how" significantly easier to retain and apply.
Projects are woven through each course rather than saved for the end. This means learners are writing real code throughout, not just watching or reading. By the time a course is complete, the outputs are portfolio-suitable, not just exercise files.
Instructor feedback is built into the process. The goal is for learners to understand what's right and what needs adjusting in their own code — which is considerably more valuable than a score on a test.
Layered Structure
Concepts build on each other in a deliberate sequence — no skipping foundational stages.
Live Coding Throughout
Real Python from the first session — not after weeks of theory.
Written Feedback
Instructors review code and provide specific, written notes — not generic pass/fail results.
Regular Updates
Content is reviewed every six months to keep pace with the field.
Intro to Coding & AI
A beginner course covering Python essentials and the basic concepts behind AI, taught at a steady, friendly pace. Suited to those new to programming. Includes guided exercises and a supportive learner community.
This course is the right starting point for anyone who has heard a lot about AI and Python but hasn't yet written a line of code. The pace is set so that each concept has room to settle before the next one arrives.
- Python syntax, variables, loops, and functions
- Introduction to AI concepts and how models are used
- Guided exercises with written feedback
- Access to the Codelumen learner community
- Completion document on finishing the course
Process Overview
Orientation — learning environment setup and first Python script
Core Python — variables, data types, control flow, and functions
AI Foundations — how machine learning works at a conceptual level
Project — a small Python project with instructor feedback
Practical ML Workshop
A hands-on course building machine-learning projects with clear, step-by-step guidance. Designed for learners with basic Python who want real experience. Includes code feedback and a structured portfolio.
This course moves from understanding ML concepts to actually building and evaluating models. By the end, learners have a set of completed projects and the code review experience to understand what makes them work.
- Supervised and unsupervised learning fundamentals
- Working with real datasets throughout
- Multiple project builds with portfolio guidance
- Written code feedback from instructors
- Learner community and support access
Process Overview
Data preparation and exploration — working with datasets in Python
Supervised learning — building classification and regression models
Evaluation — testing, tuning, and understanding model performance
Portfolio project — a complete ML project with instructor review
Mentored Developer Track
An in-depth program with mentor support, covering development skills from model building to deployment basics. Created for committed learners building a strong portfolio. Includes one-to-one mentoring and group sessions.
This is Codelumen's most involved program. It's designed for learners who want to go beyond learning individual techniques and start building the broader skill set needed to work on real AI development tasks — including getting models ready for actual use.
- End-to-end model development and deployment basics
- Scheduled one-to-one sessions with a named mentor
- Regular group sessions with peers and instructors
- Full portfolio review and final project feedback
- Support throughout via the learner community
Process Overview
Advanced model work — deeper techniques and architecture choices
Development workflow — version control, notebooks, and project structure
Deployment basics — getting a model into a usable form
Capstone project — a complete portfolio piece reviewed by your mentor

Shared Across All Programs
Regardless of which course you enrol in, these principles apply across the board.
Data Privacy
Learner information is used only to run the course. We do not share personal data with third-party advertisers.
Consistent Quality
All courses go through the same review process every six months. Updates are applied across the board when needed.
Responsive Support
Support team available via email Mon–Fri, 09:00–18:00 ICT. Saturday 10:00–14:00 ICT. Questions don't have to wait for the next session.
Clear Expectations
Syllabi are published upfront. Learners know what they'll cover and how much time each stage typically takes before they commit.
Community Access
All enrolled learners join the Codelumen learner space, where peers and staff are available throughout the week.
Completion Recognition
Learners who complete a course receive a digital document recording what they studied and achieved during the program.
