From Learners Across Thailand
A mix of experiences from people who have worked through different Codelumen programs.
Kanisorn Phuttharaksa
Bangkok · Intro Course
"I'd tried to learn Python twice before from YouTube and gave up both times. The Intro course broke it down in a way that actually stuck. Having someone give feedback on my exercises made a big difference — I knew what I was doing wrong instead of just feeling stuck."

Wanida Srisuwan
Chiang Mai · ML Workshop
"The ML Workshop was more demanding than I expected, which was actually a good thing. The datasets used in the exercises are real, and the feedback my instructor gave on my classification model pointed out things I wouldn't have noticed on my own. Worth it if you already know some Python basics."

Thanapat Jantaruk
Bangkok · Mentored Track
"The one-to-one sessions with my mentor were what made the difference. He looked at my code in detail and asked questions that made me think through things more carefully. The deployment section was challenging but by that point in the program I felt prepared for it."

Nattamon Raksa-it
Phuket · Intro Course
"I'm based in Phuket so a fully online course was the only option that worked for my schedule. The platform was easy to use and the support team was genuinely quick to respond when I emailed with questions. Good course for complete beginners."

Prawit Limcharoen
Bangkok · ML Workshop
"I appreciated that the syllabus was available before I signed up. I could see exactly what was covered and in what order, which helped me decide this was the right fit. The project work was the best part — submitting something you built yourself and getting detailed notes back is genuinely useful."

Siriporn Chanwong
Khon Kaen · Mentored Track
"The group sessions were something I didn't expect to find useful, but hearing how others approached the same problems was helpful. The program is long — you need to commit the time — but the structure keeps you moving. My portfolio now has projects I'm comfortable showing to other developers."

Learner Journeys in Detail
Three examples of how learners moved through our programs and what they came away with.
Challenge
Kanisorn had worked in marketing analytics for two years but was doing all data processing in spreadsheets. He wanted to automate parts of his workflow but had no programming background and wasn't sure where to start.
Approach
He started with the Intro to Coding & AI course, working through the Python fundamentals at around 8 hours per week alongside his job. The guided exercises gave him early wins that kept him motivated through the harder sections.
Outcome
After completing the course over six weeks, Kanisorn wrote a Python script that automated a reporting task that had previously taken him 3–4 hours each week. He then enrolled in the ML Workshop to take the next step.
"The course gave me enough Python to do something useful within a month. I wasn't just learning for the sake of it."
Challenge
Siriporn had completed a Python basics course through a different provider but felt she hadn't built anything substantial. She was interested in ML but didn't know how to connect the theory she'd read to actual code.
Approach
She joined the Mentored Developer Track after a conversation with the Codelumen support team, who confirmed her existing Python level was sufficient. Her mentor worked with her specifically on the gap between understanding ML concepts and implementing them.
Outcome
Over 14 weeks, Siriporn completed three portfolio projects — a classification model, a regression pipeline, and a small deployment. Her final capstone was reviewed in detail by her mentor, who noted specific improvements she'd made across the program.
"I needed someone to look at my actual code, not just tell me what a neural network is. The mentored track gave me exactly that."
