These Terms and Conditions govern the use of Codelumen's website and online learning services. By submitting an enquiry, enrolling in a course, or using our website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. Definitions
- "Codelumen", "we", "us", "our" — Codelumen, a training provider based at 112 Rama IX Road, Huai Khwang, Bangkok 10310, Thailand.
- "User", "you", "learner" — any individual accessing our website or enrolled in one of our courses.
- "Service" — our website, online courses, and related learning materials.
- "Agreement" — these Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
- "Content" — all course materials, exercises, feedback, text, and code provided through our platform.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website or enrolling in a course, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement, and accept these terms in full. If you are using our services on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.
3. Description of Services
Codelumen provides online education in Python programming and AI development. Our current programs are:
- Intro to Coding & AI — beginner Python and AI foundations
- Practical ML Workshop — hands-on machine learning with project work
- Mentored Developer Track — in-depth program with one-to-one mentor support
All courses are delivered online. Availability and schedules are published on our website. We reserve the right to modify, pause, or discontinue a course with reasonable notice to enrolled learners.
4. User Accounts
Enrolled learners receive access to a course account on our learning platform. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. You must not share your access with others. If you suspect unauthorised access, notify us promptly at [email protected].
5. User Responsibilities
When using our services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information when submitting enquiries or enrolling.
- Use the course materials for your own personal learning only.
- Treat instructors, staff, and other learners respectfully in all shared spaces.
- Not copy, distribute, or resell any course materials.
- Not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other learners' accounts.
- Not use the learner community to distribute spam, advertisements, or harmful content.
6. Intellectual Property
All course content — including text, code examples, exercises, videos, and feedback — is the intellectual property of Codelumen or its instructors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the materials for personal learning during your enrolment period. No other rights are granted. Reproducing or redistributing our content without written permission is not permitted.
Code you write as part of course exercises remains your property. You grant Codelumen a limited licence to review your code for the purpose of providing feedback.
7. Payment Terms
Course fees are as listed on our Solutions page at the time of enrolment. All prices are in Thai Baht (THB). Payment is required in full before course access is granted. We use secure third-party payment processors and do not store full card details.
Refund policy: Requests for a refund submitted within 7 days of enrolment, before accessing more than 20% of the course content, will be considered. Refund requests outside this window are assessed on a case-by-case basis. To request a refund, contact [email protected].
8. Course Completion and Recognition
Learners who complete the requirements for a course will receive a digital completion document from Codelumen. This document records your participation and the skills covered. It is an internal record issued by Codelumen and does not constitute an academic qualification, industry certification, or accreditation recognised by any external body.
9. Disclaimers
Our courses are provided as general skills education. We make no representations about specific outcomes, employment prospects, or career changes that may or may not result from completing our courses. Course content is prepared in good faith based on current practices, but we do not warrant that it will remain current at all times.
Our services are provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law. We exclude warranties of fitness for a particular purpose to the extent permitted under Thai law.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Codelumen shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from use of our courses or website. Our total liability for any claim arising from a course enrolment shall not exceed the fee paid for that course.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Codelumen against any claims, losses, or expenses (including legal costs) arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of our platform, or content you submit that infringes third-party rights.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your course access if you breach these terms, engage in conduct harmful to other learners or staff, or attempt to misuse our platform. You may discontinue your enrolment at any time, subject to the refund terms above. On termination, your access to course materials will end.
13. Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any disputes arising from your use of our services will first be addressed through informal negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes will be submitted to the jurisdiction of the courts of Bangkok, Thailand.
14. General Provisions
- Entire agreement: These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, form the complete agreement between you and Codelumen regarding our services.
- Severability: If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.
- Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision at any time does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
- Assignment: You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our written consent.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to enrolled learners by email and reflected in the updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
